Executive Grade D - £93,119 to £119,295 per annum
The Role
We are now seeking an exceptional leader to join our Acute Division as Director of Hospital Services at University Hospital Hairmyres.
This is a high-impact executive leadership role at the heart of our Acute Services. As Director of Hospital Services, you will lead the triumvirate management team at University Hospital Hairmyres and play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational management of Acute Services across NHS Lanarkshire.
You will drive transformational change to deliver improved quality of care, patient safety, and patient and carer centred services while also carrying system-wide responsibilities as agreed with the Director of Acute Services.
You will provide visible, credible leadership across clinical, financial and staff governance, holding yourself and your teams to the highest standards of performance. Key responsibilities include delivering against national planned and unscheduled care targets; managing the hospital's operational budget; ensuring regulatory compliance with bodies including Health Improvement Scotland and Audit Scotland; and establishing robust risk management and patient experience frameworks.
You will also play an important role in building and sustaining relationships with a broad range of partners from senior clinicians and staff side representatives to local MPs, MSPs, Public Partnership Forums, and the third sector.
You will be a graduate with a demonstrable track record of success in a senior management position, ideally within the NHS. A relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred, though equivalent experience will be equally valued. Above all, you will be a dynamic, inspiring leader with the credibility and drive to deliver lasting change in a complex acute hospital environment.
