The core rota involves dayshifts, backshifts and nightshifts with weekend working. The out of hours working commitment is recognised within the generous remuneration. Further the rota allows for flexibility in working patterns and as such post holders can and do combine this post with other roles. This role provides broad clinical exposure to the full range of emergency presentations within a welcoming and supportive team, in a modern environment with full support facilities and excellent continuing professional development opportunities.

The department is medically staffed by 9.4 WTE Consultants (11 people), 15 EPs, 4 Specialist Doctors, 1 HST, 11 resident doctors including GPSTs, ACCS Trainees, FY2 doctors and clinical fellows. There are also Advanced Nurse Practitioners working primarily within our co-located Minor Injuries Unit.
