Job Advert

NHS Highland is creating a new senior leadership role to bring together supply chain, logistics, transport, fleet and community equipment services into a single, integrated function. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, this is a high-profile post with a clear mandate and executive support to design and deliver a modern, board-wide service that directly supports patient care across a large and diverse geography.

The consolidation programme is already under way, including supporting the development of the Board’s new logistics hub at Ronach House. The post holder will build on this progress, shaping the future operating model, developing a high-performing team and delivering the benefits that a fully integrated service can provide.

You will set the strategic direction for supply chain, warehousing, transport, fleet and community equipment services, and lead delivery across multiple sites. You will be accountable for a commercial portfolio of approximately £6.5m and lead a team of around 35 staff.

This is an opportunity to take on a substantive leadership role with real scope to influence at both Board and national level.

We welcome applications from experienced leaders across supply chain, logistics, operations and related fields, or comparable complex, multi-site environments. NHS experience is helpful but not essential. You will bring strong leadership capability, commercial and financial acumen, and the credibility to operate effectively with senior stakeholders.

This is an important leadership role at a pivotal point in the development of NHS Highland’s supply chain services, offering the opportunity to make a lasting and meaningful impact.
