The Role

Authorise justification and perform Radiographic examinations, providing direct care and a high quality diagnostic imaging service in order to assist in the management of patients referred from clinicians. Deputise for Modality Team Leaders as required and oversee Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, and Clinical Support Workers, ensuring continuity of service delivery.

To have a high level of knowledge and skills in one or more specialised field, generally to a post-graduate level.

To be responsible for the organisation of a specialised service within Radiology on a daily basis or carry out examinations of a highly specialised nature in MRI.

The working pattern for this role is 8am - 8pm (7 days).

In this key role, you will:

  • Perform all justified routine and specialised diagnostic procedures within area of specialisation.
  • Take a leading role in departmental audit and quality assurance programmes to maintain effective Clinical Governance and meet clinical effectiveness targets.
  • Actively participate in departmental administration as guided by the Imaging Team Leader or Deputy Department Manager.
  • Participate in mandatory training and actively pursue Continuous Professional Development keeping an up to date personal record.

What You'll Bring:

  • HCPC Registration
  • D.C.R. (R), BSc or BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Ability to take responsibility, make decisions and act in a supervisory capacity.
  • Team Worker.
  • Good IT Skills.
  • A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
