Job Advert
Band 5 Registered Nurse
Part Time – 33.75 Hours per Week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the established and supportive team within Ward 304 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The post will be primarily based in Ward 304; however, the post holder may be required to provide cover across other areas within MUSC as service need dictates.
We are seeking an experienced, hardworking, and well-organised individual who can demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be confident in delegating appropriately, supporting junior staff, and contributing positively to a high-quality patient experience. A genuine passion for caring for older adults and an interest in frailty medicine are essential for this role.
Applicants must hold current UK registration with the NMC and have current NHS experience. You should be committed to delivering person-centred care and supporting patients through a period of assessment with the overarching aim of enabling a safe, timely, and efficient return to their home environment whenever possible.
Ward 304 specialises in the care of older adults who require comprehensive assessment, treatment, and discharge planning. The ward places a strong emphasis on rehabilitation, early discharge planning, and working collaboratively with patients, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
As with all posts within NHS Grampian, this position is rotational. However, the role is primarily day shift-based, with minimal, if any, requirement for night duty.
Informal visits are strongly encouraged, as they provide an excellent opportunity to meet the team, gain insight into the ward, and discuss the role in more detail.
