EU INTERREG VA iSIMPATHY Project 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team to promote the safe and effective use of medicines and to deliver a specialist clinical pharmacy service, caring for the needs of the several identified patient groups within NHS Dumfries and Galloway in line with departmental and national strategies. 

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Specialist Clinical Pharmacists with excellent communication and inter personal skills; who has the ability work as part of a team and work independently. Post holders will be required to be registered as a pharmacist with the General Practice Pharmaceutical Council of GB. A driving license will be essential as the postholder will be required to work across the different localities within Dumfries and Galloway. 

This post is part of a partnership between NHS Dumfries and Galloway and EU INTERREG VA iSIMPATHY Project. iSimpathy will provide in depth training in polypharmacy, clinical and consultation skills from leading medical and pharmacist practioners. 

This is a full time band 8A post which is fixed term for 23 months to deliver the specifications detailed within the iSIMPATHY project. This post will be aligned to the Mental Health Clinical Service therefore the post-holder should have an interest or have practiced in Mental Health.   

Secondments or applications for part time appointments will also be considered. Secondments should be agreed with your current line manager before application for this post.
