An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic & motivated Band 7 Midwifery Team Leader, to become part of the NHS Highland Women and Children service - Community Midwifery Teams. The successful candidate will be required to have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Community Midwifery Team in Dingwall & Wester Ross and for the other community midwifery teams in the other midwifery team leads absence. The post holder will ensure appropriate management of the midwifery team including resource activity and professional responsibility as an autonomous practitioner for the midwifery caseloads in the Dingwall and Wester Ross community midwifery teams. This post will involve a 80% Clinical & 20% Management responsibility split.

This post is for 34.33 hours per week on a permanent basis. The role requires excellent leadership and time management skills, as well as flexibility and the ability to work effectively as part of a team There is an on call commitment required for the provision of a Home Birth/Domino service within the community midwifery teams.

A full/current driving licence and use of own car and work car insurance is essential for this post.

Dingwall is a great location if you enjoy both outdoor pursuits and culture & is located a short distance from the Airport where flights run regularly to London, Birmingham, Bristol and Ireland. We are also in the perfect place to access the beautiful Cairngorms National Park, tour around the North Coast 500 and visit some of the most beautiful white sandy beaches whilst doing an island hop to some of the neighbouring islands.
