Pharmacy Department, Angus HSCP
General Practice Clinical Pharmacist
Band 6/7 Depending on experience
We are looking for a clinical pharmacist to join our team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and support staff in Angus. Alongside the wider multidisciplinary teams supporting General Practices in Angus.
This post requires clinical expertise, good communication, organisational and IT skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team, be committed to on-going professional development and be keen to develop the Pharmacy service. Will have a commitment to providing high quality care supporting our patients to achieve the best outcome from their medicines.
You will be working as part of a practice based team providing direct patient support. Consulting with and treating patients directly, working closely with GPs to resolve medicines issues. The role will also include ensuring clinical and cost effective prescribing within the GP practices in line with NHS Tayside formulary. You will also spend one session weekly in the North Angus Pharmacy Hub where alongside Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Support Workers undertake medicines reconciliation post discharge or outpatient review.
You will be based at Castlgait Surgery, located within the Links Health Centre, Montrose DD10 8TY.
The ability to travel is essential for this post.
