About Us

Consultant Clinical Psychologist (Band 8C) – Digital Psychological Therapies Lead.

At NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, we’re proud to play a key role in supporting NHS Scotland by delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care. As a modern, national facility with state‑of‑the‑art clinical services and specialist teams, we help ensure patients across Scotland receive timely, safe and effective treatment.

NHS Golden Jubilee is delighted to invite applications for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist (Band 8C) to provide strategic, clinical and professional leadership for the development of a new Digital Psychological Therapies Service and to undertake the board's Psychological Therapies Training Co-Ordinator (PTTC) function.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and experienced clinical leader to shape the future of psychological care within NHS Golden Jubilee. The post holder will lead the development and implementation of a digitally enabled model of psychological therapy, improving access to evidence-based interventions for patients, carers and staff whilst ensuring robust clinical governance, quality assurance and evaluation.

Working closely with senior clinical, operational and digital leaders, the successful candidate will develop and implement a Digital Psychological Therapies Strategy, embedding evidence-based digital interventions across clinical pathways and supporting service transformation through quality improvement, innovation and research.

As the Board's PTTC Lead, the post holder will provide strategic oversight of psychological therapies training, supervision and workforce development. This will include identifying training priorities, coordinating access to national psychological therapies programmes, supporting the development of supervision capacity, and ensuring that staff delivering psychological interventions are appropriately trained, supervised and supported within recognised governance frameworks.

The Consultant Clinical Psychologist will provide expert consultation and leadership to multidisciplinary teams and will contribute to workforce planning, service redesign, clinical governance, education and professional leadership across the organisation. The role will also include responsibility for supporting and supervising psychologists, trainees, assistant psychologists and other healthcare professionals delivering psychological interventions.

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated psychologist with substantial experience of leading psychological services, developing innovative models of care and implementing organisational change. Experience of digital mental health, psychological therapies training, workforce development and quality improvement is highly desirable.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking leader who can drive innovation, build capability across the workforce and contribute to the continued growth of psychology services within NHS Golden Jubilee. In return, we offer a supportive professional environment and excellent opportunities for leadership, service development and professional growth.
