An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen within the CAMHS Tayside Eating Disorder Service for a compassionate, and forward-thinking UK Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as Team Leader.

This is your chance to shape and lead a specialist service making a real difference to the lives of children and young people across Tayside.

About the Service

Our specialist multi-disciplinary eating disorders team provides assessment and treatment for children and young people (under 18) experiencing eating disorders across Tayside.

We support a range of conditions including:

  • Anorexia Nervosa
  • Bulimia Nervosa
  • Other related eating disorders

Our approach is holistic and person-centred, bringing together expertise from:

  • Mental health nursing
  • Psychiatry
  • Psychology
  • Dietetics

We are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that supports recovery and resilience.

About the Role


As Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in both the clinical and operational delivery of the service. This is a rewarding leadership position where you will:

  • Provide strong clinical and professional nursing leadership
  • Support day-to-day service delivery and team functioning
  • Drive service development, innovation, and quality improvement
  • Work collaboratively within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team
  • Contribute to shaping the future direction of the service

You will report to the CAMHS Senior Nurse and CAMHS Management Team and be part of a supportive leadership structure.

About You

We are looking for someone who is resilient, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people.

You will be:

  • A UK Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • Experienced at Band 6 level
  • Skilled within mental health and/or CAMHS settings
  • Committed to ongoing professional development
  • An effective leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes challenging environment

Most importantly, you will bring a person-centred, compassionate approach and a drive for continuous improvement.

Base: Dudhope House, 15 Dudhope Terrace, Dundee, DD3 6HH

This role requires travel across NHS Tayside.
