Our Procurement Team plays a vital role in ensuring the organisation has access to the goods and services required to support safe, effective, and efficient patient care. We are now seeking an experienced and motivated eProcurement Manager to lead our purchasing and procurement systems functions and help drive the continued development of our procurement services.
About the Role
As eProcurement Manager, you will provide leadership and operational oversight for the Purchasing and Systems Team within Procurement. You will be responsible for managing the Board's operational and tactical procurement activity, overseeing the electronic procurement systems that support purchasing processes across the organisation, and ensuring procurement services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
Working closely with the Head of Procurement and key stakeholders across the organisation, you will lead initiatives to improve procurement performance, enhance purchase-to-pay processes, and maximise value for money. You will also manage and develop a talented team, supporting their professional growth whilst ensuring high standards of service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute strategically to procurement transformation, systems development, supplier performance, and organisational efficiency within a complex and dynamic healthcare environment.
About You
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with significant experience in procurement and product management within a large, complex organisation. You will possess extensive knowledge of procurement strategy, ideally supported by a professional procurement qualification such as CIPS, or equivalent senior-level experience.
You will bring:
• Significant experience leading procurement activities and managing procurement systems.
• Strong knowledge of Public Procurement Legislation and Standing Financial Instructions.
• Experience planning and coordinating purchasing and systems work plans.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective project and people management skills.
• The ability to prioritise competing demands and work effectively under pressure.
• A collaborative approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality customer-focused services.
• Experience using PCS Tender systems.
