Post - Physiotherapy Team Lead
Grade - Band 7
Contract – Permanent
Hours of work – 18.0hrs
We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapy Team Lead to join our dynamic Pan Lothian Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team. Our service supports people with neurological conditions to maximise independence and achieve meaningful goals within their homes and communities.
Rehabilitation is delivered flexibly through a combination of domiciliary visits, outpatient clinics, and virtual appointments, supporting safe transitions from hospital and ongoing community-based care. The service provides neurological rehabilitation clinics across Lothian, including specialist clinics such as Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and Spasticity Management.
As Team Lead, you will provide operational and strategic leadership for our neurological community physiotherapy service, supported by experienced Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners and working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and Service Lead. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, equitable, and person-centred care, while driving service development, innovation, and continuous improvement across Lothian.
Your leadership will help ensure we deliver high‑quality, person‑centred, and equitable care.
It is essential you have a Degree in Physiotherapy with relevant post graduate clinical and leadership knowledge, experience, and skills. As this is a leadership role you should have excellent communication skills and be able to lead a team. Whilst other options will be considered, to meet the service needs the preferred hours of working are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday AM.

Clinical, professional and managerial responsibility for area of responsibility including clinical and staff governance issues. The post holder is responsible for maximising service provision, including the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, ensuring that all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met.
To act independently to provide a full comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral and discharge to a complex range of patients referred to the service.
Please note: As this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.
