An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Charge Nurse to manage and lead the nursing team within Ward 6 Perth Royal Infirmary. Ward 6 is a fast paced, 30 bedded ward caring for a variety of patients with acute and chronic illness.


As a Senior Charge Nurse, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day running of the unit and the service, maintaining quality and safety standards of patient care. You will also work closely with our existing team of committed and motivated acute medicine Senior Charge Nurses, Members of our MDT and our Clinical Nurse Educator.


As SCN, you will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of the organisation's objectives. It would be desirable for the post holder to have experience within an acute clinical setting and you must be able demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice development through experience and theoretical knowledge, with management and leadership experience. You must understand the complexities of caring for individuals with acute and chronic medical illnesses.


This post is full time, predominantly worked Monday to Friday with occasional weekend / late shift working to cover the site senior leadership requirements.


You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register

Hours of work are: Full time 36 hours.
