3 posts available across East and Midlothian: 1.0 WTE/Full time permanent, 0.8 WTE permanent, and 0.5 WTE Fixed Term
Applications are invited from suitably qualified speech and language therapists to join the East and Midlothian Children and Young People’s SLT team. We have a skill-mixed team of SLTs and SLT Assistant Practitioners within a joint East Lothian and Midlothian CYP SLT team.
There are a variety of posts available therefore the post-holder will be based either at one of the East Lothian or Midlothian Health Centres. They will hold the full range of community cases and supervision responsibilities for SLT Assistant Practitioners. The community team work across NHS based clinics and external settings in the local area.
You will be an innovative and flexible therapist with experience of working with children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs.
You will be surrounded by a friendly, experienced and committed Speech and Language Therapy team within East and Midlothian.
The Lothian speech and language therapy service is innovative and supportive. It is committed to the principles of clinical governance to provide a high-quality service focused on the child’s needs. Support is provided for therapists in district based and clinically focused teams. All therapists have a personal development plan and are encouraged to extend their skills through a variety of CPD activities.
Candidates who meet the required standard at interview may be considered for similar vacancies that arise within the Lothian CYP SLT service during the recruitment process.
