Bank Senior Nursing Support Worker

Location – Robin House, Balloch. Commutable from Glasgow, Paisley, Ayrshire, Lanarkshire

Salary: £16.03/Hour

Contract: Bank, various shifts available

Working with CHAS provides a unique opportunity to support children and families to make the most of their precious time together; as a team, we make extraordinary things happen every day.

Our Senior Nursing Support Workers assist nursing staff to provide family centred and holistic support to children with life shortening conditions and their families. Alongside compassion and care, laughter and finding fun in each day are important parts of the role.

If you are a support worker with experience working with children with complex care needs (or relevant experience), we would love to hear from you!

We would like you to bring

  • Experience working with children with complex care needs, or can evidence relevant experience (for example, working with adults in palliative care, working in hospice environment or ASN team)
  • Educated to SVQ level 3/HNC in a Health, Social or Child Care or can evidence equivalent experience
  • Relevant knowledge of care procedures such as nutritional and airway support using a variety of equipment and access devices along with clinical observations skills. (Examples – NG, Gastrostomy support. Seizure care and management and Airway support including suction)
