An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Supervisor to support services within the Orange Zone, Dental & Outlying areas across the Foresterhill Health Campus.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with previous supervisory or team leader experience who is passionate about leading teams and delivering high standards of cleanliness and service.

As a Domestic Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of an established team of Domestic Assistants, ensuring the delivery of a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing effective day-to-day supervision and leadership of Domestic Assistants
  • Managing staff rotas and ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained
  • Monitoring performance and supporting staff development
  • Effectively managing absence and attendance issues in line with NHS policies
  • Handling challenging situations in a professional and positive manner
  • Promoting high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across all staff groups to maximise departmental effectiveness

About You

The successful applicant will:

  • Have previous supervisory or team leader experience
  • Demonstrate strong people management and communication skills
  • Be confident in managing performance and supporting teams to achieve their best
  • Have the ability to positively engage with staff at all levels
  • Possess a proactive, can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality services
  • Be physically fit and capable of undertaking the demands of the role
  • Have a clear understanding of the importance of maintaining high standards and ensuring tasks are completed effectively
