This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Health and Safety to join the Health and Safety Service of NHS Tayside. The post holder will be a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner with experience of managing health and safety teams. The post holder will directly line manage specialist Health and Safety Advisors and deputise for the Head of Health and Safety on a range of professional issues.

You will have extensive experience in Health and Safety, be Chartered with a recognised qualification in this specialty and some working experience in the NHS. Proven management, communication and leadership skills are essential.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

This post is office based within Ninewells Hospital, Dundee; there will be occasional need for travel within Tayside.

Hours of work are: 36 per week, Monday – Friday, between 08:00 and 17:00.
