The role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Rheumatology Department at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in Rheumatology who is keen to develop their knowledge, skills, and clinical expertise within a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Permanent, full-time, 36 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Base location: Glasgow Royal Infirmary
Key responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals, and administrative colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to patients with rheumatology conditions.
- Lead proactive patient reviews.
- Support medicines optimisation and monitoring.
- Provide patient education and self-management support.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of Rheumatology services.
- Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- An interest in Rheumatology and a commitment to developing specialist knowledge and clinical skills within the field.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for improving patient care and delivering person-centred services.
- Comprehensive training and support will be provided to help the successful candidate build confidence and expertise within the speciality.
- Post-registration experience.
- As appropriate to the area of clinical practice, complete the agreed training pathway to develop the NP role.
