To work within the Maternity Services team, providing clerical support to Midwifery and Medical teams at Victoria Hospital and Queen Margaret Hospitals. To provide a full administrative service to clinical, nursing and midwifery staff within the Women, Children & Clinical Services Directorate in order to support the provision of direct care and treatment of patients. Primarily to assist the midwifery teams make appropriate referrals and to arrange appointments. Training will be provided. 

Up-to-date keyboard skills and working knowledge of Microsoft packages essential.   Previous clerical / administration experience necessary within a hospital environment advantageous.  

Candidates must be able to lift and handle quantities of casenote folders, and to bend and stretch to retrieve and file casenotes, and to load / unload and manoeuvre casenote trolleys.

The ability to travel across sites to meet the needs of the service may be required. 

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
