Highland Health and Social Care Services help people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers. Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty.

NHS Highland has opportunities to offer throughout Lochaber for BANK Health and Social Care Support Workers working in the local communities, providing care and support to vulnerable adults in their own homes. If you like helping people and have a friendly caring nature this could be the opportunity for you to develop your skills and join a permanent local team of like-minded workers.

NHS Highland are looking to recruit to our staff Bank in most areas of Lochaber -

Duror, Onich, Ballachulish, Glencoe and Kinlochleven in the South

Fort William through Spean Bridge, RoyBridge and Fort Augustus in the North

Glenfinnan, Arisaig and Mallaig to the West.

If you live in or close to any of these communities, want to make a difference, and feel you have the skills to offer, then we would like to hear from you.  Full training is given.  You will be required to register with the SSSC and be supported to gain your SVQ qualification and encouraged to undergo continued professional development, adding to your skills. Uniforms are provided together with all Personal Protective Equipment required.

As a Bank worker you can decide your own work pattern and choose the area(s) you would like to work.  If you’re prepared to travel, so much the better.  Bank Workers are paid travel time and a generous mileage allowance on top of their hourly rate for Bank Shifts, and enhancements are paid for unsocial hours.
