An opportunity has arisen within the Borders Stroke Unit within the Borders General Hospital for a flexible, enthusiastic individual to assist in the provision of patient health care across the Scottish Borders.
The practitioner will have/develop high levels of decision making and clinical judgment, be able to work independently and in conjunction with other health professionals. You will assess, diagnose and initiate treatment, investigations, advice and management of patients using professional decision-making processes to ensure safe, patient centred care. This will be facilitated in partnership with patients, carers and families. You will provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives. The role encompasses that of expert clinician, and they must possess the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads, remain focused, work across professional boundaries and be flexible
They will assist the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.
To meet the needs of the service hours will include a range of shift patterns
