​​​​Building on the success of the Primary Care Occupational Therapy service this is now expanding throughout Lanarkshire.
Therefore, there are exciting opportunities for Band 5 Occupational Therapists to join the existing Lanarkshire Primary Care Occupational Therapy team, as the service extends across all 10 localities in Lanarkshire.
The Primary Care Occupational Therapy service works to improve the health and well-being of patients, age 16 and over, with physical and mental health conditions that impact on their functioning. This may include people coping with the impact of long-term conditions, people experiencing difficulties at work/college or falls or frailty or those who may be socially isolated due to poor health and/or caring roles.

This Specialist Generalist role is an exciting and evolving area of practice of occupational therapy, offering assessment and intervention to a diverse range of patients. 
Person-centred assessment, proactive clinical interventions, self-management strategies and supports are utilised to enable patients to manage their health and well-being and continue with their daily lives.
Providing our team with robust supervision procedures, staff supports, service wide training plans and tailored individual development opportunities are key to this.

You must be a Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration and knowledge of application of the theory underpinning OT practice.

Essential requirement is ability to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative coupled with effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills along with ​​​​​​​excellent time management skills and a working knowledge of basic information technology.
