We are currently seeking motivated, enthusiastic and experienced registered nurses to join our skilled nursing team, within the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Ward and 23 hr Surgical Short Stay Unit (SSSU). ENT is a 10 bedded ward open 7 days with an adjoining outpatient facility and a separate outpatient facility at Queen Margaret Hospital, both open Monday to Friday. SSSU is a 10 bedded unit for elective surgical patients staying 23hrs or less, open Monday to Saturday.
This will be an exciting opportunity for you to join our nursing team and to work within a fast paced dynamic unit, alongside a clinical team that values patient safety, provides safe effective patient centre care and strives to deliver high quality standard. You should be able to work well within a diverse team and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal development.
You should be enthusiastic, dynamic and self motivated, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which can embrace change and deliver excellent patient centred care always. You should be able to work well under pressure and be able to cope with the constant demands of a busy ward environment, as well as our outpatient department Extended clinical skills would be desirable but is not essential. Clinical supervision will be available to successful candidates. This post will require you to rotate through core shifts, twelve hour shifts, night shifts, as well as working a variety of shift patterns to meet the needs of our excellent service. Experience in acute nursing is desirable.
