Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months for service lead at V1P Lanarkshire. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment for internal candidates and a fixed-term post for external candidates.. For internal candidates, the employee MUST already have had agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
In agreement with the Director of Psychological Services, the postholder is required to lead in the operational and strategic development and long-term planning of the V1P Lanarkshire., required to provide operational management and clinical leadership for the delivery of this highly specialist service for all clinical and other staff; and is operationally and professionally responsible for all staff employed by NHS Lanarkshire in this Service. By informing and advising the Director of Psychological Services with reference to clinical /research governance for Psychology i.e., to ensure effective systems for clinical and professional supervision, professional appraisal and the identification of continuing professional development and to be responsible for the budget allocation for pays, travel expenses supplies and equipment for the V1P Lanarkshire. Doctoral level training in clinical/counselling psychology including, specifically, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS/HCPC. and the postholder requires leadership skills to develop and lead the service. Supervision skills are also required for the supervision of qualified psychology staff, trainee psychologists and to non-psychology staff.
The successful candidate will:
Be able to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Have excellent communication skills.
Have basic keyboard skills and familiarity with MS Word, Access and Powerpoint.
Current UK driving license is essential to the post.
