We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and well organised Dietetic Support Worker to join our Adult Weight Management Service based at North West Kilmarnock Area Centre.
The role involves supporting clinicians (Dietetic, Physiotherapy and Psychology) to deliver an effective Weight Management structured education programme (LEAN – Lifestyle Exercise and Nutrition) over 12 weeks with ongoing follow up for up to one year.
LEAN is delivered within East Ayrshire HSCP only and has been developed in partnership with Vibrant Communities.
This is a split role post of administrative tasks (80%) and patient focussed interactions (20%).
It is essential you have a good standard of education are computer literate and have proficient IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Teams.
Experience in health care would be advantageous and evidence of competencies and skills required to deliver the post are essential e.g. strong organisational skills, practical cooking skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Occasional evening work will be required to support group sessions.
