Working in our state of the art pharmacy department, Forth Valley Royal Hospital are looking to recruit enthusiastic motivated Pharmacy Technicians
The successful candidates will join our team, rotating through the aseptic and dispensary sections.
Duties will include a variety of activities including,
Dispensing for Inpatients, Outpatients, Mental Health Services and Oncology services, including the aseptic preparation of CIVA’s, Chemotherapy and TPN.
Providing Top-up services to wards and departments within NHS Forth Valley, GP Out Of Hours Centres and the local Hospice.
For those seeking to gain a Pharmacy Technician Accuracy Checking qualification there may be the opportunity to undertake either the Final Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (FACPT) or Accuracy checking Pharmacy Technician award (ACPT).
Upon completion of a FACPT or ACPT award, and for those already holding a nationally recognised final accuracy checking qualification, duties will also include the final accuracy check on dispensed medicines.
The Pharmacy Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital is supported by a wide range of electronic solutions including, HePMA, PTS electronic prescription tracking, Chemocare and Robotics.
Applications are invited from both GPHC registered Pharmacy Technicians and Pre – registration trainee Pharmacy Technicians anticipating joining the GHPC register in the coming months
Core hours will operate between 8:30 and 5pm Monday to Friday, with commitments to Public holiday working, and participation in both the late night and weekend rota’s.
