Redburn Rehabilitation Ward is a busy rehabilitation ward, with 20 stroke and 10 general rehabilitation beds.
You will provide efficient, comprehensive bed-making and support services to the nursing team within Long Term Conditions at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
You would be supervised by a registered nurse and operate as part of the multidisciplinary team within the wards, to enable the department to fulfil the objectives of NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
The Ward Assistants are managed by the Senior Charge Nurse with the Jobholder being a member of the Ward Team with duties allocated and supervised by a registered nurse.
Duties encompass Bed Making and Support Services, working as a member of a team to ensure quality of environmental standards are maintained within clinical areas.
The Ward Assistant Service would operate flexibility between the hours of 9.00am and 1.00pm, although specific times vary within individual wards and Ward Assistant's work various shifts within these hours. Staff may occasionally be required to work out-with these hours should extraordinary situations arise.
