To be the specialist dietitian with the Directorate of Forensic Mental Health & Learning Disabilties Services working across forensic medium and low secure mental health & learning disabilities services at Rowanbank Clinic and Leverndale Hospital. You will be operationally managed by the Forensic Lead AHP and will receive professional supervsiision and support, by the Dietetic Lead Addictions and Mental Health. You will be planning, organising and provision of an evidence based Dietetic Service to patients and carers, medical, nursing and AHP staff in the above area of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, supervision, teaching and mentoring of student dietitians and provide support to less experienced dietetic staff, dietetic and / or team assistants and clerical staff and the planning and delivery of education and training for health care professionals, including medical and nursing staff and staff from other agencies. This training covers clinically complex and detailed, broad ranging topical nutritional issues for adults and older people. You must have BSc Human Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent and be an Registered Dietitian with Health Professions Counci and Member of British Dietetic Association. You should have post qualification experience and undertaking additional responsibilities or further developing a specific area of practice. You should have good communications skills, good team player and broad clinical knowledge across a range of conditions, including liver disease, diabetes, weight management, nutrition support. The hours of this post will be worked Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
