An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the West of Scotland Innovations team to support the approval, design and delivery of a range of projects. This vacancy will primarily work across a range of projects delivering data and digital technology solutions supporting transformational change in health care across the West of Scotland region. You will be responsible for providing the technical knowledge and leadership to the West of Scotland Innovations team. The role will involve gaining a detailed understanding of the technical infrastructure across the region, in particular with regards to integration development across clinical applications, national platforms and with supplier systems. You will have good communication skills, the capacity for analytical and innovative thinking and a track record of facilitating the delivery of change within a challenging environment.
Within the innovation environment, much of the technical focus at present is working with partners specializing in Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence and the challenge of integrating these technologies with both new applications and the Boards back end electronic health systems across the region. You will be involved across the project lifecycle with key engagement to support and provide technical authority from inception through implementation to delivery.
Experience of delivering application and integration development is a key pre-requisite for this post and candidates will be asked to evidence experience in this area. The role will include the requirement to work with staff within the project team and from elsewhere within eHealth, Research & Development and across the West of Scotland region to support the successful delivery of several projects at a time. It is essential that you have substantial practical experience in the spcification, development and implementation of information systems. You will be based at Smithhills St, Paisley but travel between sites across the West of Scotland is required so a driving license is essential. Informal enquiries to Mark Greig on 07985 784642.
