Do you want to work in a small clinical team with an emphasis on patient care, excellent clinical relationships and the ability to make a real difference to the patient journey? You will be based within Gartnavel Royal Hospital. Due to staff promotion we have a band 6 vacancy within our clinical pharmacy team. You will provide pharmaceutical care to adult acute wards and with some long stay wards. You will be supported to work towards your foundation training qualification and given the support and tools to allow you to develop your skills and knowledge of both mental health and general clinical pharmacy. We have a good track record of successful foundation training completion and in those staff gaining promoted posts. There are excellent working relationships within the wider team and a real understanding of the role the pharmacist plays in ensuring medication safety, appropriateness of medication and education of patients. This is an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in a specialist environment and will provide huge opportunities for you to grow as pharmacist. You will have support from your line manager and wider mental health pharmacy team. You should be registered with the GPHC. You will be expected to participate in the dispensary and on-call rotas. You should have a Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent is essential Pre-registration year completed and examination passed is essential. You should be registered with the
Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and be willing to undertake ASCP Post Graduate Stage II qualification. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday 8.30pm – 4.30pm.
