This is an exciting opportunity for a technician to join the NHSGGC Prescribing Support Team and take forward key prescribing initiatives. As a key member of the Prescribing Team you will have an important role in promoting and implementing cost effective and evidence based prescribing within specific GP practices and Care Homes across NHS GGC. This role will involve working with GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care. This role will involve delivery of the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and will provide an important function in supporting patients with their medicines. You must have good communication, negotiation, organisational and IT skills along with the ability to influence and affect change. This is an opportunity to develop your career in Primary Care working with multi-disciplinary teams, particularly GP Practices, Community Pharmacies, Care Homes and across other care settings. Experience of working in Primary Care or as part of a multi-disciplinary team is desirable. You should have Pharmacy Technician, NVQ3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Equivalent and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council The hours of this post will be worked 5 days over 7.
