An exciting opportunity is available to join the newly formed Maternity & Neonatal Psychological Interventions (MNPI) Team within NHS Lanarkshire. Following a successful bidding process, funding has been secured to develop our MNPI service. This is a fixed term contract at the moment with the aim to seek permancy and further hours prior to conclusion of the term of contract. The post will be based within Maternity & Neonatal services at University Hospital Wishaw
Provide specialist and strategic advice to the Head of Midwifery and as appropriate Director of Psychological Services in matters relating to MNPI interventions.
Represent the Head of Midwifery in matters relating to MNPI.
Take a lead role in and make a significant contribution to the development of psychological services in the field of MNPI
Provide a significant personal clinical contribution to MNPI
- Have a post-graduate doctoral level (or equivalent) degree in clinical or counselling psychology.
- Be registered with the HCPC as a Psychologist.
- Have extensive clinical experience in the field of perinatal mental health psychology.
- Be eligible for a practicing certificate by maintaining CPD.
- Have specialist psychological knowledge of assessment and treatment relating to patients with perinatal mental health difficulties
- Maintain knowledge of the area relating to patients with perinatal mental health psychology health difficulties and the psychological sequelae of same.
- Undertake clinical supervision as required by all grades of clinical psychology staff and others to meet their professional guidelines as per the HCPC and British Psychological Society Codes of Conduct and Guidelines
- Attend in-house and external courses pertaining to e.g., computer training, Moving and Handling, Management of Aggression etc.
- Possess a full driving licence.
