We are looking for dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic technicians, to take forward key prescribing initiatives within NHS Lothian GP practices. Working with the Primary Care Pharmacy team, GPs, other healthcare professionals and practice staff, this job will provide an exciting and challenging opportunity to optimise prescribing and medicines management across NHS Lothian.
With a National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent Pharmacy Technician qualification and current registration as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council, applicants should have a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience. Excellent communication and organisational skills are a pre-requisite and experience of working with GPs would be an advantage.
Key aspects of this role will involve data analysis, maintenance of Scriptswitch and being involved with the implementation of new prescribing work-streams in GP practices in collaboration with the wider Primary Care Pharmacy team.
