We are delighted to announce an exciting and unique opportunity within NHS Tayside for a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability to take on a key leadership role in the development and delivery of a newly commissioned specialist nurse led tissue viability service.

NHS Tayside has invested in a specialist tissue viability service, and a senior CNS is required to support the Lead CNS in establishing and developing a specialist team to ensure a high level of specialist wound care, pressure ulcer prevention and management and staff education and training is in place to ensure safe and effective care of patients in Tayside.

Experience leading staff, developing service and delivering tissue viability care at a specialist level will be useful to support the suitable candidate in this new role.

The Senior CNS for Tissue Viability will be responsible for the day to day oversight of the operational delivery of service, ensuring that nursing care is safe, contemporary, person centred and maximises the involvement of patients and carers of the individual.

This is a new development and unique opportunity to establish a safe high quality approach to all aspects of specialist tissue viability, wound management, provision of specialist equipment and staff training and education. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who will enjoy working in a challenging environment..
