An opportunity has arisen to join the Public Health Test and Protect team based at Summerfield House, as we are currently recruiting Full-time Band 4 Covid-19 Test Booking Co-ordinator.
The service is open over 7 days from 8am to 8pm with staff working on a rota basis to cover this.
Applications are sought from individuals who are educated to Higher Certificate/ A Level standard, or SVQ IV or equivalent Business Administration Qualification with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in Administration role. Previous NHS experience, preferably within an outpatient clinic environment is desirable but not an essential.
Applicants must have advanced computer knowledge and skills with experience in the use of Microsoft packages. Applicant with previous experience and knowledge of PMS (TrakCare), APEX and Language Line are desirable. We also welcome applicants with previous experience and knowledge of working with other client or patient Booking Systems.
The successful applicant will be able to work on their own initiative as well as a team player, be self-motivated and able to prioritise conflicting demands. They must have the ability to deal with service users and colleagues in a confident and caring and empathetic manner both over the phone and in person. They should be well organised and methodical with excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills to cope with the demands of booking Tests for Covid-19.
