An exciting opportunity has arisen in East Renfrewshire HSCP for a Community Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Trainee to work with a cluster of GP practices.
As part of our Primary Care improvement plan (PCIP) the ANP will support General Practitioners to deliver unscheduled care for the registered patient population within practice, home and care home settings as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
As a clinical leader, the ANP has the freedom and authority to act autonomously in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, including prescribing, of patients with multi-dimensional problems. This includes the authority to refer, admit and discharge within appropriate clinical areas.
Working across role and organizational boundaries the ANP manages the complete clinical care for their patients, utilizing expert knowledge base and clinical competence to support multi-professional teams within East Renfrewshire HSCP, ensuring a high standard of clinical care, in accordance with the NMC and Health & Safety Legislation.
The community ANP will assess, plan and implement care, provide specialist advice and maintain a high standard of clinical record keeping for their patients.
Essential Qualifications:
The successful applicant should preferably be a suitable qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) with experience within Primary care services with a clinical decision-making skill module or equivalent trainee willing to undertake the ANP pathway training (Annex 21 will apply until successful completion of training).

Should be a Registered Nurse on NMC register, minimum 4 years’ experience, preferably within Primary care, applicants should be a V300 non-medical prescriber and working towards an appropriate Masters level qualification in Advanced Practice which has enabled competence in clinical assessment, clinical reasoning, judgement and diagnostic decision making, anatomy and pathophysiology, Leading, delivering and evaluating care practice learning/transferable work based learning.
The shift pattern is; 08:30-16:30hours (37.5hours) 5 days over 7
