Are you interested in working and living in the North of Scotland?  Tucked away in the north-eastern area is Caithness, a unique area of natural beauty with its open landscape, historical sites and its spectacular rugged coast line. 


Caithness General Hospital is a busy Rural General Hospital. It has 41 inpatient beds and it's services include: 24/7 Emergency Department,  Acute Assessment Unit, Rehabilitation/Post Acute Ward, Surgical Suite, Ambulatory Care Unit, Out Patient Department,  Community Midwifery Unit and Imaging , Laboratory  and Pharmacy Services. 


We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced nurse to manage the Surgical Suite. You will have overall clinical, professional and managerial responsibility for the theatre, day case and endoscopy service on a 24 hr basis.


Applicants should have RN1 Adult Nursing level registration with the NMC as well as extensive theatre experience including evidence of managerial experience.


This post demands excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.  A sound knowledge of effective individual staff management and good team leading skills are essential. Applicants interested in a development opportunity will be considered.
