This is an exciting new role within West Dunbartonshire HSCP to drive forward service redesign within Mental Health and we are looking for a dynamic individual who is up for a challenge.
Who We Are
West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (WDCHCP) is a strategic partnership between West Dunbartonshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. It brings together both NHS and Local Authority responsibilities for community-based health and social care services within a single, integrated structure.

WD HSCP covers the entire population of the local authority of West Dunbartonshire Council. The total population of the Council area is 91,400 and the main centres within the Council area are Clydebank, Dumbarton and Alexandria.

The Service Manager will lead on the redesign of services within West Dunbartonshire HSCP that supports the wider Scottish Government’s and NHS GGC Adult Mental Health, Older People Mental Health Strategy and Learning Disability Change Programme. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues in other services and ensure that the Head of Service agenda is achieved at a local level and will assist the Head of Adult Services within the HSCP in the delivery of the Health & Social Care Partnership objectives including strategic policy implementation.
The post holder will effectively and efficiently manage the delivery of community and inpatient services across Mental Health Services. The Service Manager is directly accountable for health and social care staff that provide direct patient care. The Service Manager contributes to the overall agenda for Mental Health Services as a core member of the Health and Management Team ensuring the delivery of key priorities and objectives contained within the HSCP development and performance plan.
The Service Manager is responsible for effective and efficient management of delegated resources including people, buildings and responsibility for devolved NHS and Social Care budgets.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable, proven track record of operational management and leadership skills to work in a specialised environment ensuring the highest standards of clinical care. Working in partnership with other services to deliver a high quality service the successful candidate will also have
significant experience in managing complex issues and challenges within a culture of continuous quality improvement.
