Band 5: £26,104 to £32,915

37.5 hours per week – Full Time, Fixed term until 31st March 2023


The Covid Response Teams is operational across Highland and was developed in April 2020 to provide targeted support to Care Homes (and Care at Home services) which has a significant staffing challenge as a result of Covid-19, and is likely to have the virus present within the service.

2x WTE Staff Nurses are required to bolster the team. This post will cover the North Highland area which has 69 Care Homes. There will be opportunity to shape the service to meet the needs of the sector whilst providing professional nursing support, advice, education. This post presents a unique opportunity to work closely with Adult Social Care Teams as well as independent providers.

Teams will be made up from a range of social care and nursing and will be closely supported by a Registered Manager, as well as benefitting from the input of the wider NHSH Team.  A specific induction will be provided.  Personal Protective Equipment will be provided to all staff at all times.

 

Recruitment to this team will be permanent, with a guaranteed 37.5 hours per week.  Teams will be deployed across Highland – and accommodation will be provided if required. Base Negotiable within Highland.


In order to be able to carry out the duties of this post effectively and safely, candidates will be able to provide evidence of experience in dealing with vulnerable adults, especially older people, preferably in a caring capacity. Applicant must have good communication skills – both verbally and in writing. For further information please refer to the person specification.

You will be required to work flexibly in order to meet service requirements.  A driving licence is essential for this post and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes.
