This is a full-time permanent post. The shift pattern is varied.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for a Senior Charge Nurse theatre coordinator to join our amazing team. This role is to provide robust and consistent support and  coordinate the 22  theatres as we continue to develop as Major Trauma Centre. It is pivotal  to support the clinical Senior Charge Nurse team deliver a gold standard, patient centred service.

We are looking to recruit a passionate, motivated leader to improve efficiency and patient flow and to assist with providing a seamless perioperative experience for our patients and clinical colleagues. The successful candidate will have the determination and vision to work with the Multi Disciplinary Team and our stakeholders to achieve this, identifying areas of for improvement and constantly driving change..

You must also have the skills to deal with conflicting pressures in a professional and calm manner and be able to work in a highly pressured environment while maintaining a can do attitude.

You must have demonstrated ability of working in a complex, multidisciplinary, clinical environment. You will have excellent leadership qualities and be an effective communicator

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual wishing to affect a positive, safe patient perioperative experience, with the desire to continually improve the service, whilst being part of a supportive team.
