An exciting opportunity has become available with Edinburgh District Nursing for Lead Specialist Practitioner District Nurses to join the team. We are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our highly skilled nursing teams.
The Edinburgh District Nursing Service is part of the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership. The service plays a vital role in preventing hospital admissions and ensuring patients return to their homes as soon as possible. As a key part of this aim, the LSPDN will play a key role in leading and developing the district nursing service in EHSCP, providing expert professional knowledge and advice and ensuring clinical excellence in assessment of care needs, evaluation of care plans and ensuring the delivery of high quality care. In addition you will work alongside the clinical nurse manager in the enhancement and strategic development of the existing services as well as the development of any new services based on the needs of the community, working collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies and provide expert professional knowledge.

We have a range of vacancies for experienced Lead SPDN’s or Specialist Practitioner District Nurses looking for a development opportunity to join our innovative and dynamic teams across Edinburgh – providing you with the opportunity to gain a breadth of knowledge and experience in community nursing.
- LSPDN NE / IMPACT – Full time post working jointly alongside the current part time LSPDN in East Cluster and the Impact team.
- LSPDN EVENINGS – Full time post with the governance responsibility for staff and patients during the out of hour’s period 1600-0000. The applicant will work as part of the wider LSPDN city team for the city to ensure leadership and management across the service. This post offers the applicant a high level of flexibility in their working pattern to meet the needs of both the service and family life.
- LSPDN NE NW SE SW – We are currently offering the opportunity for full and part time posts across the city
Salary
- Band 7 Range £40,872 – £47,846 (if part time, the salary would be pro rata) per annum
