Would you like to work in a welcoming Occupational Therapy team? An exciting new opportunity has arisen to expand the Occupational Therapy Team in PRI. We are looking for two Band 5 Occupational Therapists who would like to develop their skills within physical rehabilitation services. We are looking for someone who possesses good communication and decision making skills and has a positive approach to multidisciplinary team working and client centred care.
You may be asked to work within smaller Occupational Therapy teams within Medical, Orthopaedics, Medicine for the Elderly and Frailty. The Occupational Therapy Service will continue to develop and these posts may be considered as part of a rotation in the future.
The Occupational Therapy Service is currently completing a re-design of services and is aiming to implement a Band 5 rotation which may also include the specialities of Stroke, Outpatients, Community rehabilitation and Community hospital. The aim of this rotation, once the re-design has been completed, is to offer a comprehensive variation of clinical experience, skills and support for Band 5 Occupational Therapists.
In line with the evidence base and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health Professions will be moving towards 7 day working. This is for improved outcomes and to maximise a person-centred equitable approach to care. Therefore all new contracts for AHP staff will be for a 5 out of 7 day service/rota to enable the service to be ready to move to a safe and effective 7 day service.
Perth and Kinross OT Service provides excellent formal and informal supervision, actively supports individual development through performance development review and learning plans, provides a framework for encouraging CPD and promotes innovative practice.
