TRAINEE HEALTH VISITING
This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse or midwife to train and work in a rewarding and specialist NHS professional role and develop a career in Health Visiting within Grampian. Funding to be confirmed.
Robert Gordon University have the potential to run a 1 year full time and a 2 year part time course commencing September 2022. The courses are at Masters level and a first degree is desirable or evidence of studying at module 9, 10 or 11 is essential within the last 5 years. For those with an existing degree, if achieved over a number of years ago you must evidence studying at module 9, 10 or 11 within the last 5 years.
Successful applicants will be aligned with an appropriate Health Visiting team in a Health Visitor trainee post to allow the development of theory and practice in relation to the role of the Health Visitor. This will be decided upon during the selection process; these posts may be full or part time.
It is a requirement of the course to complete 2 clinical placements – there are two 10 week placements and three weeks alternative practice hours in addition to the placements. It is essential that you are available to undertake these full time placements to accrue the required clinical hours as stipulated by the NMC. Therefore, all annual leave must be taken out with the clinical practice placement times.
We plan to deliver joint interviews in person at Robert Gordon University (RGU) however circumstances may change resulting in virtual interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams. Interviews will take place the week commencing 6th June 2022. Further details will be confirmed following closing date and successful short listing.
