The core purpose of the Digital & Security organisation is the provision of world class Digital and Security expertise, solutions and services to our customers, which include NSS, NHS Boards, Scottish Government and the wider Public Sector in Scotland.
A critical role in ensuring integrated Business Technology strategy and delivery of suitable and effective solutions and services is the Programme Director position. This role provides senior technology leadership to implement significant national solutions and services across NHS Scotland ensuring that technology delivery and service aligns to the required business and operational outcomes necessary to support Health and Social Care in Scotland.
As a Programme Director, you will be responsible for overseeing a significant programme or complex portfolio of solutions that will enable and provide the catalyst for new ways of working, improved operational performance and enhanced quality and compliance  for your customer.  You will provide the leadership at the executive level into Boards and governing groups to ensure the vision for the solution is realised through a clear and exciting transformational implementation plan across technology, process and people change areas. You will ensure that the programme governance delivers to plan and within the appropriate financial envelop and that all stakeholders and engaged and collaborating to realise the benefits and the success for the programme, the customer and the end users of the service.
You will be a senior member in the Digital and Security team and be the advocate external to the team across all stakeholders. You will liaise and collaborate across all DaS teams: Clinical, Transformation, Cloud Operations and Information Security & Governance areas to ensure appropriate solutions are designed, implemented and fully supported. You will also engage across the wider Programme Director and Digital Business Partner teams to ensure best proactive and opportunities to scale service and solutions are optimised.
Applications are invited from individuals who have demonstrable Programme Director experience across complex and high volume technology delivery, you will have experience in a technical discipline and are both operationally minded to drive improvements and are curious and tenacious to drive new ways of working and technology implementation to achieve step function changes in outcomes for customer  and end users,
