Healthcare Support Worker
Band 3 £26,869 - £28,998 per annum
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 per annum
37 hours per week

A rare opportunity has arisen in the Emergency Department (ED) of the Western Isles Hospital for an experienced Healthcare Support Worker.
The Emergency Department in a rural setting, is unpredictable and fast paced, providing both emergency care and minor injury service but a rewarding role. We are a dynamic team looking for a keen, enthusiastic and motivated HCSW to assist ENPs and support in delivery of all care. Candidates are required to be forward thinking, organised and ability to work in a busy environment. We are looking for a team member who has excellent communication skills, knowledge of computer systems such as TOPAS, SCI and competent practical skills in ECG,cannulation, venepuncture, patient observations and basic life support are essential. This post is rotational days and nights to cover annual leave.
You should have:
- Proven experience in an acute area.
- SVQ 3
- Adult and Paediatric Basic Life Support
- Up to date mandatory learn pro and madatory training
- Good interpersonal skills and excallent communications.
- Flexibility to work co-operatively within a small team.
