An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the OPD department and assist with Pre COVID 19 testing of patient presenting for surgical intervention and endoscopic procedures. Comprehensive training will be provided for this role to ensure COVID testing protocols are followed.

In addition to the COVID testing role you will provide HCSW support to both the OPD and POA nursing teams.  

The job consists of chaperoning patients during examinations, taking and recording blood pressures, height, weight, pulse, temperature and urinalysis. Phlebotomy is part of the role also and training will be provided for this.

You will be responsible for ensuring the department rooms are clean and set up for the relevant clinics which include general surgery, minor surgery, general medicine, diabetic, respiratory, rheumatology, cardiology, Ear Nose and Throat, oncology, plastic surgery, urology, neurology and gastroenterology.  In addition you will answer telephone calls, take messages and co-ordinate the running of clinics in both Outpatients and Pre-Op Assessment.

These posts are for 12 months fixed term and are based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the shift pattern is Monday to Sunday between the hours of 8am-5pm
