Job Advert

The Isle of Skye is a beautiful place to live with amazing scenery, wildlife and outdoor activities. Also a great sense of community with some wonderful restaurants, as the link shows https://www.isleofskye.com/skye-life-blog

We are looking for a new Radiographer to join the friendly team on the Isle of Skye.

There are currently 2 X-Ray departments on Skye, one in Broadford and one in Portree.  A new hospital in Broadford is currently under construction.

The radiographers on Skye provide an important 24/7 service to the local population of Skye and Lochalsh. The Mackinnon hospital has a non bypass Emergency Department so the work can be anything from minor to major trauma. There is no CT scanner so your skills as a radiographer are vital to the patient’s treatment, stabilisation and subsequent transfer.

Consultants visit from other hospitals to hold Out Patient clinics. The departments also image GP referrals and In-Patients.

As part of the team you will help to cover the 24/7 service, currently core hours 9-5 Monday to Friday, and on-call. We are currently reviewing our service and hoping to offer an extended day which will allow for more rest days.

Relocation expenses are available for this post.
