An opportunity has arisen within NHS Grampian for two full time General Surgery Consultants with an interest in Colorectal Surgery to join twenty Consultants in the progressive Department at the major University teaching hospital of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The post is based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with some sessions in Dr. Gray’s and Stracathro Hospitals and is full time.
Applicants should have wide knowledge of and experience in General Surgery and expertise in Advanced Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery is essential. Experience in Robotic Surgery would be welcomed. As a department we value team-working highly and the successful candidate will be expected to work well within a multidisciplinary team and will play a full part in emergency receiving duties.

Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
It is likely that the University of Aberdeen will accord the honorary status of Clinical Senior Lecturer.
