Financial Accounting Team
Within Financial Services, our team provides an integrated financial accounting service for the Board, including accounts receivable, treasury, ledgers, VAT, endowments, and preparing the annual accounts.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to enhance their financial knowledge & skills within a large organisation with excellent career progression prospects.
The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of financial management systems and processes.
They will be able to manage competing demands and demonstrate strong MS Excel skills, good communication, and the ability to use initiative to deliver in line with agreed timescales.
The role will assist the Financial Accounting Manager in managing the treasury and accounts receivable teams within Financial Accounting Team, and proactively maintain an efficient and effective service.
Part of this role will involve helping to develop and maintain financial systems, procedures and controls for the accounts receivable and treasury teams, to ensure that the accounting system correctly reflects financial information and meets the required monthly reporting deadlines.
The role will also support the Financial Accounting Manager in the production of the NHS Lanarkshire annual accounts in line with Scottish Government Health & Social Care (SGHSCD) guidelines, ensuring statutory reporting requirements are met.
