As a result of internal promotion University Hospital Ayr are seeking a dynamic new Band 5 team-mate to join our 3 post rotation within the South Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership. This is on a permanent basis to assist in delivering Acute Care, Caring for Ayrshire & the Partnership Strategic Plan.
One rotation is based in the Community setting and two within the acute hospital at University Hospital Ayr.
The post also includes the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in specialist nutritional support, stroke rehabilitation, diabetes & bariatric surgery as your general skills develop.
The community rotation provides the opportunity to support an assigned caseload to Community Hospitals, GP Practice clinics, Care homes and to people in their own homes.
The hospital rotations cover general medicine including respiratory, diabetes & endocrinology and cardiology; general & vascular surgery & orthopaedics; gastroenterology and urology in addition to the general dietetic out-patient clinic.
You will also support Practice Placements shaping the future Dietetic Workforce after 6 months employment.
The Partnership would like to invest in your future and offer you the chance to undertake the BDA PENG course within your first year. The service also provides area wide professional development sessions and regular peer supervision.
The Partnership are happy to support your early employment as Band 4 Dietetic Assistant Practitioner prior to HCPC registration when you would then transfer to the Band 5 role therefore pre-graduate applications will be considered on the basis you will progress to full HCPC registration.
We are looking for a colleague who is a good team-worker, keen to learn, enjoys working as part of a multi-agency team and can contribute to the development of health/social care provision including acute care for the people of South Ayrshire.
